The ECTA Conference 2023 took take place in San Sebastian, Spain, from 25 to 27 May and was kindly organised by AFM.
The European Cutting Tool Conference provided the European forum and networking event for manufacturers of cutting tools and clamping technology. Strategic challenges were discussed and global networking and cooperation in the industry were strengthened.
The ECTA Conference takes place once a year at a beautiful and well situated town in Europe kindly hosted by one of the ECTA member associations.

Conference Ticket: 780.00 € (VAT not included)
The conference ticket includes dinner on Thursday, the participation in the conference itself with coffee breaks and lunch, the gala dinner on Friday and the Saturday morning excursion including lunch. The conference documents (programme, conference bag, participant badge) are included in the conference fee.
Accompanying Person Ticket: 140.00 € (VAT not included)
The ticket for the accompanying person includes dinner on Thursday, the participation in the accompanying persons programme, the gala dinner on Friday and the Saturday morning excursion (social programme) including lunch. This ticket does NOT include the conference programme.

Who is Cristobal Balenciaga?
Cristóbal Balenciaga Eizaguirre (21 January 1895 – 23 March 1972) was a Spanish fashion designer, and the founder of the Balenciaga fashion house. He had a reputation as a couturier of uncompromising standards and was referred to as "the master of us all" by Christian Dior and as "the only couturier in the truest sense of the word" by Coco Chanel, who continued, "The others are simply fashion designers". On the day of his death, in 1972, Women's Wear Daily ran the headline "The King is Dead".

Who is Eduardo Chillida?
Eduardo Chillida, (10 January 1924 – 19 August 2002), was a Spanish Basque sculptor notable for his monumental abstract works. Major public works by Chillida are in Barcelona, Berlin, Paris, Frankfurt and Dallas. A large body of his work can be seen in San Sebastián. In the early 1980s Chillida and his wife bought a sixteenth century Basque farmhouse and surrounding land at Hernani near San Sebastián to establish a permanent place to display his work in a natural environment. This opened in the 1990s as Chillida Leku, an open-air museum where visitors could wander among the sculptures.Leku means 'place' in Basque.

The conference takes place in San Sebastian, Spain. We recommend to travel to Bilbao Airport and take a rental car or taxi to San Sebastian.

EU nationals
EU nationals do not require a visa to enter Spain.
Non-EU nationals
Generally speaking, all other foreigners require a visa for stays in Spain.
A visa is not required for visits of up to 90 days in a 180‑day period for nationals of those countries for which the European Community has abolished the visa requirement.
